Instructions for Railroad Signals

Instruction for Block Signal / Searchlight Signal / Darth Vader Signal / CPL B&O signal

 

  • Our Signals are normally made with LED or SMD LED, such LEDs work on 3V DC only, the operating current is max. 20mA, higher voltage or current will burn the LED or shorten their life.
  • Some of them are prewired resistors and can be used on 12V DC directly, please check if there is a resistor pre-soldered with the signals before using them, otherwise you must wire a resistor with the black wire before using them on 12V/16V DC.
  • The wired resistor may help to limit the operating current too.
  • Black wires are Common Anode wires, the color wires are cathode wires, must wire 470 ohm 1/4W resistors with Green LED and 510 ohm 1/4W resistors with Red or Yellow LED if you need the green light shows along with the red or yellow light.
